Allies for Community Business (formerly ACCION Chicago) is Chicago’s largest small business micro lender, providing the capital, coaching, and collaboration entrepreneurs need to grow great businesses in their communities. Through our support of Allies for Community Business we have been able to broaden Burling Bank’s reach and improve our ability to assist members of the community who may not yet qualify for a bank loan.
The Chicago Botanic Garden cultivates the power of plants to enrich and sustain life. This succinct, yet powerful mission is based on three core beliefs: The future of life on Earth depends on how well we understand, value, and protect plants, other wildlife, and the natural habitats that sustain our world; beautiful gardens and natural environments are fundamentally important to the mental and physical well-being of all people; and people live better, healthier lives when they can create, care for, and enjoy gardens. As a longtime enthusiast of the Chicago Botanic Garden, Burling Bank is pleased to support the Garden’s mission and programming, such as their Urban Agriculture programs that benefit the neediest communities in Chicago by revitalizing neighborhoods and providing job training.
Mobile Care Chicago provides free, accessible healthcare to underserved children and families through mobile medical clinics across Chicago. Their fleet of converted RVs delivers critical specialty services—including asthma care, dental treatment, physicals, and immunizations—directly to schools, removing transportation barriers. By partnering closely with schools, they improve children’s health outcomes, reduce emergency visits, and strengthen
LEAP empowers individuals by building their speech, language, and communication skills to foster success in school, work, and community. They actively deliver parent workshops and provide a collaborative curriculum for educators, enhancing early development and promoting lifelong learning. Through strategic leadership and community partnerships, LEAP transforms communication potential into real-world achievement.
